Reverend Mrs. Vedamary Jayanesan

With deep sorrow and thanksgiving to God, we celebrate the life and ministry of Rev. Mrs. Vedamary Jayanesan, who was called to eternal rest on Monday, 9 June 2025.

A faithful servant of Christ, Rev. Mrs. Vedamary Jayanesan dedicated over 35 years to the ministry, touching countless lives through her preaching, pastoral care, and unwavering commitment to God's work. She will be remembered for her grace, strength, and loving spirit.

Rev. Vedamary completed her theological training at TTS, was ordained as a Deacon in 1992 and as a Presbyter in 1993. She began her ministry at Bethel Church, Denkanikottai. Throughout her ministry, she faithfully served in various congregations, including:

  • Bethel Church, D’kota (1992–1994)
  • Vishwas Alayam (1994–1995)
  • St. Mark’s Church, KGF (1995–1997)
  • St. Michael’s & All Angels’ Church, KGF and St. Andrew’s Church, KGF (1997–2002)
  • Platt Memorial Church (2002–2007)
  • CSI Church, Byapanahalli and Karunalaya Church (2007–2008)
  • CSI Church, Byapanahalli and Karunalaya Church (2007–2008)
  • Bethlehem Church and St. James Church, R. T. Nagar (2008–2011)
  • Eaton Memorial Church (2011–2015)
  • Immanuel Church, Magadi Road (2015–2019)
  • Vishwas Alayam (2019–2022)
  • Karunalaya Church (2020–2022)
  • Bethlehem Church (2022–2024)
  • Christ the King Church (2024 until her passing)

In addition to her pastoral work, Rev. Vedamary played an active role in ATTWI, where she inspired and mentored many women in ministry and leadership.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Rev. Jayanesan, and their sons, Mr. Vicky Jebanesan and Mr. Michael Devanesan.

Her mortal remains were kept for viewing at Holy Trinity Church on the morning of June 10, 2025, followed by a Thanksgiving Funeral Service at St. Matthew’s Church, KGF, and burial at the CSI Cemetery, Balaghat.

Members from various congregations, clergy—both active and retired—and officers of the Diocese gathered to honour her life and extend their condolences to the bereaved family.

Rev. Vedamary’s life was a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness. Though she is deeply missed, her legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to inspire generations to come.
