THANKSGIVING SERVICE HELD ON 26TH MARCH 2019

Every gathering of the people of God in Karnataka Central Diocese (KCD) is a special one because of the diversity, rich legacy and meaningful tradition of ministry and mission. The celebration of four years of episcopal of our Bishop Rt. Rev Dr. Prasana Kumar Samuel was unique in its own way because of the out pouring of the people from across the Diocese who came to thank God for the life, work and witness of our Bishop and specially come to pray with the Bishop for his ministry of the Diocese. The Thanksgiving service held at CSI Hold Trinity Church included Officers of the Diocese, Area Chairpersons, Convener Ministerial Committee, Pastors, Heads of Institutions, Conveners and Directors of the different Committees, Wardens, Diocesan Staff, elected leaders from the Church, people of God from the diocese and well-wishers of the Bishop.

The Principal of United Theological College, Rev. Dr. ChilkuriVasanthaRao, delivered the message on the occasion highlighting the biblical model of leadership of which is a privilege and responsibility for the Glory of God and wellbeing of God’s people.

A meaningful Liturgy, Congregation Hymns and Special songs from the local Church, the rich diversity of the Diocese was evident with songs text and prayers said in Six language was enriched the Thanksgiving Service. The Bishop in his response thanked the Officers of the Diocese, Area Chairpersons, Convener Ministerial Committee, Pastors, Heads of Institutions, Wardens, and Diocesan Staff, elected leaders from the Church, people of God, Well-wishers of the Bishop for co-coordinating a very meaningful and enriching service which affirms the Grace and Mercy of God in his life, the life of his family and the Diocese.

He particularly thanked all the people who have come from Bangalore and out stations for attending the service. He requested the Congregation to pray for his episcopal ministry in the KCD which is grounded in over 38 years of ministry in the diocese.

He concluded to looking forward to the 5th year of Episcopal ministry in the Diocese with a sense of hope and courage and expressed his desire to give his best to the diocese.

The Secretary thanked one and all especially for such a short notice and invited for the dinner.
