Spouses Fellowship

A half-day fellowship for the spouses of our clergy was organised on 26 February at All Saints from 9:30 am onwards. There were representations from all the four areas and 27 spouses participated in the fellowship. The gathering was facilitated by our Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Prasana Kumar Samuel and Prof. Esther Samuel, Bishop Amma. Our Bishop, in his devotion, pressed upon the role of spouses in the pastoral ministry and encouraged the spouses to have Lips that speaks the truth, Eyes that Discerns the needs of the congregation, Ears to listen to needs of the ministry, hands to serve and heart to live devotedly. Further, Prof Esther Samuel, in the address, contextually interpreted the “Parable of the Pop-Corn” from the point of view of spouses’ participation in ministry and encouraged the spouses to be ignited by the spirit of the Lord and respond to the situation accordingly. An interactive session was organised and the spouses expressed the challenges that they face as a family in the ministry. The Ministerial Candidates of our diocese conducted activities for the spouses. The occasion was graced by the presence of Rev. Theodore William, Rev. Praveen, Rev. Jain and Rev. Eby Devaseervadham.
Thank you
