CHRIST THE SAVIOUR CHURCH DEDICATION

CHRIST THE SAVIOUR CHURCH entering the golden Jubilee Celebrations on 01.11.2019 all started with Prayers of hope with few Tamil Christ believers has laid a foundation of hope to build a Church in 1959 in Yeshwanthpur .

A few like -minded committed Christians united with the sole purpose of establishing a common place of worship. 11 Foundered Christians families began to Pray together in a small place in Subderpalya in Yeshwanthpur.

On 16th Dec 1967 a land was purchased in Subderpalya in Yeshwanthpur.

The foundation stone for the Tamil Church was laid by the then Bishop Sargaent on 26th Feb 1968 and was dedicated on 1st Nov 1970 in the Name of CHRIST THE SAVIOUR CHURCH.

The Christ The Saviour Church (Tamil) Church became a Pastorate in the Year 1977.

In the year 1975 a group of Telugu Members approached to conduct worships on Sunday. It was agreed to provide them space for the Telugu worship in the premises. The Telugu Church is worshiping at the same premises for 40+ years.

As the Church grew rapidly the first Church Extension was laid by Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. C D Jathanna on 7th August 1983.

The Alter extension happened on 14th march 1993 by Rev. W V Karl.

The Church was renovated and rededicated on 1st November 2001.

The existing Church was able to accommodate 300 people and with a huge number of people standing outside during the worship service.

With the vision of the PC members of the triennium 2015-2018 along with the previous Presbyter In Charge Rev. Justin and the passionate work carried and executed by our Presbyter In charge Rev. Theodore William the Church extension foundation stone was laid by our Bishop Rt. Rev. P.K Samuel in Presence of Rev. Theodore William on 01.10.2017

The extension building along with the basement parking of 70+ Bikes was dedicated on 18.02.19 by our Bishop Rt. Rev. P.K Samuel in presence of our Presbyter In charge Rev. Theodore William, Civil Area Chairman Rev. Christy Rajkumar, Officers of the Diocese and other Presbyters of CSI KCD.

With the Blessing from above the prayers and contributions from the members, near and dear ones the Church can accommodate 600+ members worshiping under one roof.

The Church has witnessed a huge number of miracles and witness and has been growing spiritually to uplift the community.
