Wheelchair Donation Camp
Wheelchair donation Camp organised on Tuesday the 7th October 2025, in United Mission High School, Mission Road, Bengaluru, by The Department of Persons with Disabilities under the Social Economic Committee- CSI KCD, in collaboration with BANGALORE CITY AREA COUNCIL and CO - PARTNERED BY PRO VISION AISA.
Objective of the Program: The primary objective of the Program was to PROVIDE
WELL- TAILORED WHELCHAIRS TO PERSONS WITH LOCOMOTIVE DISABILITIES, thereby easing their mobility and enabling them to lead more independent and dignified lives.
Beneficiary Selection Process: Application forms were invited from across all AREAS under the DIOCESE. Each applicant underwent a VIDEO CALL ASSESSMENT to evaluate their specific needs and suitability for the wheelchair. Based on these assessments, TEN BENEFICIARIES were shortlisted, AMONG WHOM SIX BELONGED TO CSI KARNATAKA CENTRAL DIOCESEAN CHURCHES. The selected individuals were invited to the camp to receive their CUSTOMIZED WHEELCHAIRS.
Event Proceedings:
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including:

● Team / Staff members from ProVision Asia.
The Program commenced at 8:30 am and concluded at 2.30 pm with fellowship lunch.
Inaugural address: Rev. Solomon Paul highlighted the importance of the initiative and commended the Diocese's consistent efforts towards uplifting the DEIFFERENTLY - ABLED COMMUNITY.
Rev. Paul Dinakaran, Expressed appreciation to the Bishop and office bearers of KCD for their continued encouragement and support of such meaningful program and also expressed his gratitude to ProVision Asia.
Rev. Alwyn Herbert, in his address, urged the gathering to support the cause through prayers and by introducing new beneficiaries to the department.
Hospitality: Participants and guests were served breakfast and tea before the commencement of the program, followed by lunch after the conclusion of the event.

Gratitude is also expressed to the Headmistress and staff of United Mission High School for providing the venue and extending their co-operation throughout the event.
Conclusion:
The WHEELCHAIR DONATION CAMP was a remarkable demonstration of the Diocese's commitment to serving the differently abled community with compassion and inclusivity. Through this initiative, the CSI Karnataka Central Diocese and Bangalore City Area Council continues to uphold its mission of SERVICE, CARE AND EMPOWEREMENT, reflecting Christ's love in action.
