Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.’”

With deep sorrow but with the hope of resurrection, we announce the passing of Rev. Mrs. Selvi Dassan, beloved daughter of Mr. Yesupadam and Mrs. Saroja, who entered her eternal rest on April 24, 2025.

Rev. Mrs. Selvi Dassan was a devoted servant of God, completing her theological studies at TTS. She was ordained as a Deacon in 1996, beginning her ministry at Bethlehem Church, and as a Presbyter in 1997. She faithfully served the Lord across several congregations during her years of ministry:Bethlehem Church (1996-1998), CSI Church, Byapanahalli (1996-1998), Bethel Church, D’kota (1998-2000), Kirubalayam, Krishnavaram (2000-2003), St. John’s Church, KGF (2001-2006), Immanuel Church, KGF (2003-2005), My Redeemer’s Church, KGF (2003-2008), St. Andrew’s Church, KGF (2006- 2008), St. Thomas Church, Bangalore (2008-2013), Holy Redeemer’s Church, Hosa Road (2013-2014), Christhu Alayam (2014-2020) and Zion Church, Agrahara (2019 – until her passing).

She also served with distinction as the Karnataka Regional Secretary for ATTWI, inspiring many women in ministry and leadership.

Rev. Mrs. Selvi Dassan was a loving wife to Rev. Wilson Dassan, and a devoted mother to their beloved children, Princy and Prince. Her life reflected unwavering faith, deep compassion, and tireless service to both her family and the Church Following her home-going, people from all churches, along with Emiriti Bishops, Rt. Rev. Vasanth Kumar and Rt. Rev. Dr. Prasana Kumar Samuel, the Officers of the Diocese, Pastors both in active service & retired, and many beloved friends & family gathered to celebrate her life and ministry.

A Thanksgiving Funeral Service was held on April 25, 2025 at 8:30 am at Holy Trinity Church, and a second service at 4:30 pm at St. Peter’s Church, KGF, followed by her burial at Champions Reef Cemetery.

Her legacy of faith, gentleness, and servant leadership will remain etched in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. We praise God for the life and ministry of Rev. Mrs. Selvi Dassan and look forward with hope to the day of resurrection.
