Jala Jaagruthi 2019 - Tumakuru Area Council

The CSI KCD , Youth Department organized a day program on “Jala Jaagruthi 2019”. It was conducted in tumakuru area to bring awareness to preserve economically consume water as we have been experiencing a State level water crises. Around 300 people from all walks of life participated in the awareness. The importance of plants/trees to replace our forests was insisted. This Beginning was a start giving hope to our generation. The Walkathon started from CSI Wesley Church, Tumakuru at 3.30 PM, The program began with an opening prayer by Rev.Elizabeth , It was a meaningful involvement, the reverends from tumukuru area participated. All the participants were given saplings to plant in CSIVC and in far away places.Many took part in the walk bringing awareness & distributed plants to public. Closing session was organized at CSIVC . The Bishop Sargent School Children,teachers & the principal was part of the event. The whole event was organized well and it was evident that the event was successful in creating some awareness among the public. Mementos were given to the participated churches & institutions.
