VBS Teachers Training Programme - 2022

The Sunday School Department of Nurture and Witness Committee organised VBS Teachers Training Programme -2022 based on the theme, “REJOICING IN HOPE” Romans 15:13 in collaboration with the VBS Ministries, Bangalore.

TUMKUR AREA:

On the 19th of April 2022, around 22 teachers from Tumkur Area churches gathered at CSIVC Prayer Hall for the training programme. The Tumkur Area Chairperson Rev. Manoj Kumar welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Vinutha Priyadharsini and Mrs. Kusumanjali led the gathering in singing. Rev. Navin K John the convener of the Nurture and Witness Committee led the gathering with the devotion based on the VBS theme. Rev. George Jayaprabhu the associate treasurer of the KCD along with Mrs. Gladys Kavitha continued the training. Rev. sudhir and Rev. Matthew Ronald also joined the Training programme.

CITY AND CIVIL AREA:

On 23rd April 2022, around 264 teachers from City and Civil Area churches and three from other denomination gathered at St. John’s Community Hall for the training programme. Rev. G S Shalini- Director of Sunday School Department welcomed the gathering. The young friends from KCD led the gathering with Praise and Worship. Rev. Christopher Samuel Devanesan, Assistant Secretary led the gathering with the devotion from Romans 15: 7-13 highlighting three points- Hope of instruction, Hope of encouragement and Hope of embracing. The keynote address was delivered by Rev. Subash Donderdive the chairperson, VBS/SIBS Council. The VBS Logo and the songs were released by Mr. Sam Selwine, Treasurer SIBS/VBS Council, Rev. George Jayaprabhu, Rev. Subash Donderdive and other Pastors. The resources persons for the training were Rev. Sam Thambusamy, Rev. George Jayaprabhu, Mr. Vinodh Joshua, Mr. Kiran, and Mrs. Sonia Huns who highlighted the background of VBS, theme lessons and creative ways of teachings and its methodology. The action for the VBS songs was taught by the young friends from KCD, Karunalaya Church and VBS, Ministries. Rev. Navin K John the convener of the Nurture and Witness Committee conclude the training with his remarks. The gathering was witnessed by Rev. Y Justin, Civil Area chairperson, Rev. Paul Dhinakar, City Area chairperson, Rev. Christy Gnanadasan, Ministerial Convener, Rev. Immanuel Nehemiah, Youth Director and Rev. Shuba Keerthana, Eco Department Director.

KGF AREA:

On the 24th of April 2022, around 71 teachers from KGF Area churches gathered at St. Paul’s Church for the training programme. Rev. Usha Rani, Convener of Sunday School Department, KGF Area welcomed the gathering. The training was conducted by Mr. Vinodh Joshua and Mr. Hanson from the VBS, Ministries. The actions for the VBS songs taught by St. Thomas Church, My Redeemers Church and VBS, Ministries. Rev. Robinmarshal KGF Area Chairperson encouraged the teachers and concluded the training with his remarks. The gathering was witnessed by Rev. Magimainath Vinod, Rev. Beena Priyadharsini, KGF Area Women’s Fellowship President and Rev. J. Rajesh Kumar, Ecumenical Concern Director.
