TEEN TALKS : My Body ! Safety Networks…

A gathering of around 200 teens/young adults from different churches of KCD participated in this seminar organized by the Youth Department at St. Mark’s Cathedral on 5th of June 2019 between 10.30 AM to 4.30PM.

The Theme introduction & its purpose explained the need of the hour to have the awareness of where the teens & young adults are moving in terms of their relationships & safety by Rev. Mary Shalini, Youth Director, KCD.

Rev.Sudhakar Joshua (CSI Christ Church,Hosur), Mr. Jeshuran Jeshwanth (World Vision,Chennai ), Prof.Kiran Jeevan (St.Joseph’s College,b’lore) participated in this event as resource people in building a foundation for awakening the minds & hearts of young people, becoming more confident and trusting, and discovering what will support them in creating a life they love.

The participants spent time in singing & praising God. Sessions, On the biblical & Sociological perspectives ,Group Discussions, Team Activity, Questions & Answers session, Prayer time, Laughing Competation…It was a meaningful & thought provoking time for the youngsters to open up with their problems & issues.

I thank God for His guidance, our Bishop Rev.Dr.P.K.Samuel for his encouragement, Rev.Dr.Vincent Vinod Kumar & the PC of St.Mark’s Cathedral for hosting the Seminar & Rev.B.P.Timothy, Convenor of Nurture & Witness Committee for his support.
