Priorities and proposals of the diocesan socio-economic concerns
A consultation on the 'Priorities and proposals of the diocesan socio-economic concerns' was organised by the socio and economic concerns committee in collaboration with the CSI-SEVA department on 16th March 2022 in the Sesquicentennial Block, Bishop Cotton Boys' School, Bangalore.
The Bishop of KCD, Rt Rev Dr P K Samuel, reiterated that KCD continues to be a missional and progressive church with an emphatic commitment towards the empowerment of the marginalised and persecuted sectors of society. The director of CSI-SEVA, Rev Benjamin Inbaraj, gave an overview about the mission and programmes of the department. The programme executives of CSI-SEVA presented their campaigns and projects.
The convener of the SECC, Rev Rachel Sudarshan, the directors of the SECC departments and Mrs Vasanti Saduri, the superintendent of the Arpana CSI School of Special Education, introduced their proposed programmes.
The KCD officers, area chairpersons and members of the SECC participated in the deliberations.
