One day Retreat for the Pastorate Committee Members

One day Retreat was organized for the Pastorate Committee Members of CSI Shantha Oliver Church, Vijaynagar at Elim Resort on 19th June 2019. The Resource Person was Rev.Prem Kumar Soans, retired Presbyter of KSD. The retreat began with the Bible Study related to the passage Mark 1:35-2:1-12. The main focus was that Jesus, through His Ministry, He offers the word of God, forgiveness and healing. Through which the members were made to re-think about their Vision, Inspiration and Mission. Through the sessions, it was made clear that our's is not a week end religion but Christianity is a daily living. Hence reading the Bible daily, meditating upon the word of God and living the word of God is essential for our life. As a role model for a good leadership, there are few lessons to learn from Joshua.

  1. He was a Loyal follower(Jos.1:5)
  2. Humble Servant Leader(Jos.7:6)
  3. Joshua trusted God(1:13)
  4. He was faithful(1:9)
  5. He was obedient(1:17)

There are three qualities which made Joshua a great leader:

  1. His Courage
  2. His integrity with God
  3. His faith

Hence don't expect God to make you a LIGHT HOUSE somewhere else, if you can't be a Candle where you are.
