KCD Christmas Get together

The Christmas get-together of the Karnataka Diocesan family during early December has been a tradition for a few years now. The KCD family met on 1st December, 2018 at St. John’s Church Community Centre to celebrate the coming of our saviour Christ. The gathering was led in a time of singing and was welcomed by Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar – the convener of the Ministerial Committee. The staff and students of St. John’s High School performed an invocation dance and special numbers in Tamil and Kannada. After a message by our Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. P K Samuel, the pastors of Bangalore City Area led the gathering in Christian folk songs which was followed by the launch of the official website of the KCD by the bishop.

The students of Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College, MakkalaAshraya Kendra, St. John’s Boys’ Hostel, and New Life Centre for girls treated the gathering to numerous performances to remind everyone about the true meaning of Christmas. Parallel to this program, children were also led in a time of singing and engaging games by the Sunday School team of St. Mark’s Cathedral in the St. John’s High School Hall.

The program drew to a close with a fellowship lunch. The day was a joyous one for all who attended.
