Greetings from the Archbishop Dr. Peter Machado to newly consecrated Bishop of Karnataka Central Diocese
Archbishop Dr. Peter Machado extends his greetings and blessings to the newly consecrated Bishop of Karnataka Central Diocese, Bangalore, on August 14, 2025:
The Karnataka Central Diocese was honoured by the visit of His Grace, Archbishop Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore, along with Mr. Pericho Prabhu, Joint Secretary of Archdiocese, Fr. Lawrence, In-charge for Karnataka Regional Secretary and Fr. Jerome, Secretary of Archdiocese – Ecumenism Commission, who called on the newly consecrated Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar, to convey their felicitations and extend their prayerful support.
On this joyous occasion, the Diocesan Secretary, Rev. J. Christopher Samuel, and the Diocesan Treasurer, Dr. N. D. Solomon Raju, were also present to honour and warmly welcome the Archbishop and his officers.
During the visit, Archbishop Dr. Peter Machado warmly congratulated Bishop Vincent Vinod Kumar on his consecration and assured him of his goodwill and prayers as he undertakes his episcopal responsibilities. The Archbishop also emphasized the spirit of Christian unity, cooperation, and shared mission in serving the people of God.
In his response, Bishop Vincent Vinod Kumar expressed heartfelt gratitude to Archbishop Machado and his delegation for their gracious presence and kind words of encouragement. He highlighted the importance of ecumenical fellowship and reiterated his commitment to working together in witness and service for the glory of God’s Kingdom.
The visit concluded with a time of prayer, mutual blessing, and fellowship, marking a significant moment of fraternity and goodwill between the two historic Church traditions.
