Environmental Rights and Women's Privileges
CSITA KCD Ecology and Environment Department collobrted with the United Theological College Women's Fellowship one day workshop on the theme: Environmental Rights and Women's Privileges on 10th August 2019 in Tagore Hall, UTC campus. The program was inaugurated with the opening prayer by The Revd Julian Ebenezer ( Convener SEC) and he brought Greetings from the Bishop Rt. Revd Dr. P. K. Samuel. Inaugural dance by the students of UTC and opening Bhajan by the UTC students. As a mark to inaugurate the workshop sapling was planted and watered by the chief guests. Mrs. Kantha Rao(President WF, UTC) welcomed the gathering and chief guests on the dise. The Revd George Jayaprabhu( Asst. Treasure) gave the green greetings by highlighting on ' Go Green Be Green '. The Revd Dr. Dexter Maben (Chairperson SEC) lead Eco Meditation, giving a brief account on Hagar and water explaining the need and relationship between women and water. Prof. Esther Prasanna (Principal BCWCC/President KCD WF)delivered the inaugural address. Giving us the importance of practice living and sustainable life style to save the resources. Even the tiny life matters to balance Eco life. The Revd Dr. Vasanth Rao(Principal UTC) addressed the gathering focusing on the ideas of life shared by one another. Eco Trinity concept and idea was a new beginning to understand the Trinity from ecological perspective. Dr. Rini Ralte(Dean of Women Studies) shared the life and realities of the North East Women. Simple and small acts to protect Nature is the need of the hour. The Revd Hemalatha J(Director Eco Dept) rendered vote of thanks.
Post lunch Mrs. Beulah Dishon gave a practical workshop on waste management. Recycling the old paper and making seed paper for the participants.
