Ecumenical Singing Fellowship

In commemorating the “Unity Octave Week”the Ecumenical Concerns Department of Ministerial Committee, Karnataka Central Diocese organised an Ecumenical Singing Fellowship themed “United in Christ’s Love” at Bishop Cotton Boys School Auditorium on 28th January 2023 from 5:30 p.m onwards.

It was a wonderful occasion to bring young and elderly people from different denominations and institutions for a fellowship. We had people representing from Gregorious Orthodox Cathedral, Pavanasar Lutheran Church, Vincent Palotti Church, Sacred Heart Church, United Theological College, Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College, St. Joseph’s College, Christ Church - Chickballapur, Good Shepherd Tamil Church - KGF and Bethel Banaswadi Church.

Our Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Prasanna Kumar Samuel graced the occasion and pressed upon Christian unity in the context of Anti-Conversion Bill. Further, he emphasised on the role and responsibilities of young people in building a better fellowship among the churches cutting cross denominations having Christ as the uniting force.

The presence of Rev. Immanuel Nehemiah (Director, Youth Department - KCD), Rev. G.S Shalini (Director, Sunday School Department, Rev. Amos, Rev. Louis Nelson, Rev. Ramya, Rev. Soniya, Rev. Carlson Joshua and Rev. Christy Gnanadasan added flavour to the program.

Thanks to our Dear Bishop for gracing the occasion amidst busy schedules, Officers of the diocese for the support extended, Rev. Christy Gnanadasan (Convener - Ministerial Committee) for his support and guidance, Prof. Lavanya Mithran - Principal In Charge, Bishop Cotton Boys School, Mr. Jeyachandran - Treasurer, Bishop Cotton Boys School, for the hospitality and the staffs of the school for making all the necessary arrangements. I thank God for the United Fellowship of Churches. All Glory and Honour to God alone.
