David Memorial Church Dedication Service
“I have chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there forever and my eyes and my Heart will be there perpetually” - II Chronicles. 7:16
The newly built CSI KCD David Memorial Church, Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore was dedicated by the Bishop of CSI KCD Rt. Rev. Dr. Prasana Kumar Samuel on 5 November 2022 in the presence of Shri. Byrati Basavaraja, M.L.A. & Minister of Urban Development of Karnataka, Government of Karnataka, Prof. Mrs. Esther Prasana Kumar, Officers of CSI KCD. Rev. Dr. Dexter S. Maben -Vice President, Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar - Diocesan Secretary, Dr. N.D. Solomon Raju - Diocesan Treasurer, Rev. Christopher Samuel - Assistant Secretary, Rev. E. Presbyters of CSI KCD and Retired Presbyters of CSI KCD, Heads of Institutions of CSI KCD, Presbyter-In-charge Rev. Thabitha Joseph, the architect Mr. Niranjan and the contractor Mr. Shridhar, Members of the Pastorate Committee of DMC, Members of the congregation and other believers in Christ.
The dedication service commenced at 11: 00 a.m. with dedication prayers at the Main-gate, Bell-tower, Plaque, Main entrance and the Edifice of the Church; followed by the Holy Communion service. During the service the Sunday School Children, Women's Fellowship and Youth Fellowship rendered special numbers and performances. The word of God was delivered by the Bishop of CSI KCD Rt. Rev. Dr. Prasana Kumar Samuel in his message reminded us to humble ourselves in the presence God, made us
understand that nothing can be done without God, urged God's people to pray and seek only God's face and turn from our wicked ways and renew our lives and assured God’s fulfillment of His promises, and God’s mercy in forgiving our sins and he prayed that David Memorial Church should stand as great edifice, a Light of Ramamurthy Nagar, an all-time dispensable house of grace & mercy of God and encouraged us to go out into the world to bring Glory & Honor to the Almighty God. He concluded by quoting
“God has done great things to this congregation and He will continue to do great things”.
After the Holy communion service, the congregation honoured the Bishop of CSI KCD Rt. Rev. Dr. Prasana Kumar Samuel, Bishop Amma Prof. Esther Prasana Kumar, Officers of the Diocese, Area Chairpersons, Heads of CSI KCD Educational Institutions, the architect and the contractor, Retired Presbyters, the family members of the deceased presbyters who served David Memorial Church from its inception, all the serving Presbyters & Deacons of KCD Churches, Members of the Executive Committee and the senior members who supported the church. The dedication service was concluded with the benediction by the Bishop, followed by fellowship lunch.
