Church Music Workshop

Rt. Rev. Dr. P K Samuel, Bishop in Karnataka Central Diocese inaugurates Church Music Workshop organised by Church of South India Synod Department of Youth and Department of Communications. It was held at the Church of South India Board of Child Care Office, Bangalore.

Bishop during his inaugural address spoke about the rich legacy and tradition of Indian Music embedded in the Indian soil and culture as a gift to the World from India.

He remarked that all of us created in God's image and likeness ought to sing praises to God. He encouraged the young musicians to go back to their Congregations with renewed commitment in music to bring honour to God and healing to the communities.

The music workshop which began on the 30th of July 2019 continues till the 3rd of August 2019 with a participation of 35 young musicians and singers from all the Dioceses of CSI.

Mrs Hannah Schussler, Church music expert from Germany is the main resource person who is facilitating this workshop and training the musicians in Vocals, Choir conducting and technical insights on Piano.

The day begins with the warm up and breathing exercises followed by various techniques on singing, music and expression.
