Bangalore Civil Area Clergy Meeting

The Bangalore Civil Area Clergy fellowship was held on 11th August at St. Mark’s Cathedral from 10:00 a.m to 1:30 p.m.

The newly consecrated Bishop in KCD Rt. Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar led the devotion entitled “Faithful Shepherding in Challenging Times”. The Bishop gave a clarion call to the pastors in civil area to be faithful shepherds by exercising the virtue of justice, humility and integrity in the context of power abuse and divisive politics. The Rev. Dr. Allan Palana, professor in the department of Theology and Ethics, United Theological College, Bangalore, led the Bible Study on the significance of 1700 year of the Nicene Creed and emphasised on the legacy and the impact of the creed in a socio-politico and religio-cultural context. It was for the first time all the 5 officers of KCD joined the area fellowship. The Civil Area Council felicitated the newly consecrated Bishop, the newly appointed Secretary Rev. Christopher Samuel and Assistant Secretary Rev. Theodore William. The civil area also felicitated Rev. Satish Timothy Paul the Vice President, Dr N.D Solomon Raju the Treasurer and Mr. Devadas Sadhu the Associate Treasurer. The fellowship also recognised the services of the retired pastor Rev. Shanthi Anandharaj and honoured her with a memento. Rev. Shanthi Anandharaj expressed her sincere thanks to the Diocese. The meeting concluded with lunch.
